Let's Learn, Nemo! · Lemma
Privacy Policy
Version 1.1 · Effective October 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Let's Learn, Nemo! ("we," "us," or "our") collects through the Lemma application and website (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.
If you have questions, contact us at letslearnnemo@gmail.com.
1.Who this Service is for
Lemma is intended for people aged 13 and older. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
When you create an account, we ask you to confirm your date of birth and to affirm that you are at least 13 years old. We record the date of that affirmation. We do not store your date of birth itself — it is used only to determine whether you meet the minimum age and is then discarded.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at letslearnnemo@gmail.com and we will delete it as quickly as we reasonably can. See Section 8 for more.
2.Playing without an account
You can use Lemma without creating an account, as a "guest" (anonymous) player. In guest mode we do not collect your email address or any information that identifies you personally. We do store your gameplay progress (described in Section 3) on our servers, associated with an anonymous identifier, so the game works on your device. A guest account can be deleted at any time (see Section 7).
You only provide personal information such as an email address if and when you choose to create or sign in to an account to save your progress.
3.Information we collect
Information you provide when you create an account:
- Email address — collected when you sign in with Google or request a one-time email sign-in link. Used to identify your account and sign you in.
- Display name and number tag (e.g. "Name#1234") — shown to you and, if you use the friends feature, to people you connect with.
- Friend code — a short code you can share so others can add you as a friend.
Age affirmation:
- The date on which you affirmed that you are at least 13 years old. We do not store your date of birth.
Gameplay information (collected for both guest and signed-in play):
- Lessons completed and the tier/stars you earned, total stars, experience points (XP), and level
- Your day-streak and the number of problems you have answered correctly
- Achievements earned and claimed
- In-game items, coins, and gems you hold
- When you were last active in the Service
Friends information (only if you use the friends feature):
- Friend requests you send or receive, your accepted friendships, and any users you block
How you found us (recorded once, when a new player starts):
- If you arrived by a link that carries campaign tags (for example, from one of our ads), those tags; otherwise the website that referred you, if any; and when you first arrived. We use this to understand which of our efforts bring new players.
Bug reports (only if you send one):
- What you write, the category you choose, basic context about where in the game you were and the platform you were using, and, if you provide it, your email address so we can follow up.
Technical information:
- Our hosting and database providers automatically process limited technical data (such as IP address and basic request logs) as a normal part of operating any internet service. We use this only to run and secure the Service.
Advertising measurement:
- We use the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms, Inc., on our website and in the app to measure how well our ads on Facebook and Instagram work. It tells Meta when the Service is loaded and when a new player starts playing. Like other web tools, the pixel also receives standard technical information from your browser, such as your IP address, browser and device type, and Meta cookies. It does not receive your email address, your progress, or what you do in lessons.
We do not collect precise location, biometric data, contacts, or device sensor data. There are no ads shown in the Service, and no third-party advertising networks in it.
4.How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- Provide the Service — run lessons, save and sync your progress across devices, and operate features like achievements, the in-game economy, and friends
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure
- Confirm you meet the minimum age to create an account
- Respond to your requests and communicate with you about the Service (for example, a sign-in link, or — if you opt in — occasional updates about new content)
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Service
- Understand how people find the Service and measure how well our own advertising works
We do not sell your personal information. Apart from the Meta Pixel measurement described in Section 3, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
5.How information is shared
We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf to run the Service, and only as needed for that purpose:
- Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Stores your account and gameplay data and handles sign-in.
- Vercel — our hosting provider. Serves the application.
- Google — if you choose "Continue with Google," Google handles that sign-in. Your use of Google sign-in is also subject to Google's own privacy policy.
- Meta — receives the Meta Pixel events and technical information described in Section 3, to measure our ads. Meta's handling of it is governed by Meta's Privacy Policy, and you can manage how Meta uses it in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.
These providers are bound to handle data on our instructions. We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or others.
If the Service is ever transferred to another owner, information may be transferred as part of that transaction; we will require the recipient to honor this Policy or notify you of any material change.
6.Where your information is stored
Your information is stored on infrastructure located in the United States (West US — Oregon). If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand your information will be processed there.
7.How long we keep information
We keep your account and gameplay information for as long as your account exists. This is true of guest (anonymous) accounts too: their progress is stored on our servers, not only on your device, until the account is deleted.
You can delete your account, guest or signed-in, at any time from inside the game (open the menu, then Delete account), or ask us to. Deletion is immediate and permanent and removes your account and gameplay information. The one exception: the text of any bug report you sent is kept so we can still fix the problem, with your account detached from it and any email address on it erased. Full instructions are on our account deletion page. We may retain certain records where required by law.
8.Children under 13
The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect, use, or store personal information from children under 13. We use an age affirmation at account creation to prevent under-13 users from creating accounts and providing personal information.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will delete that information promptly. Parents or guardians who believe their child under 13 has provided us with personal information may contact letslearnnemo@gmail.com to request deletion.
9.Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate information (you can edit your display name in the app)
- Deletion — delete your account and personal information yourself in the app, or ask us to (see Section 7 and our account deletion page)
- Opt out of email updates — you can disable optional email notifications in the app's settings
To exercise any of these rights, email letslearnnemo@gmail.com from the address associated with your account, or include enough information for us to locate your account. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
10.Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including authentication controls and access restrictions on our database. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11.The Service is in development
Lemma is currently offered as a free, in-development product. Features, content, and data structures may change, and we may occasionally reset non-essential data during development. We will not make such changes in a way that conflicts with this Policy without updating it first.
12.Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the version number and effective date above. If we make a material change, we will take reasonable steps to notify you — for example, by asking you to review and accept the updated Policy when you next use the Service. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
